Our applied research groups work with partners from professional fields to produce research and knowledge valorisation that contributes to innovative and sustainable developments. These groups focus on Agro & Food, Animals, Green Business, Climate & Environment, Laboratory Sciences and Water & Nature. The various applied research groups have further developed these themes into lines of research.
Research questions emerging out of professional fields are addressed under the supervision of professors. With around 20 applied research groups, we have the focus and critical mass to draw on a number of disciplines to produce the right knowledge for applied, sustainable innovations related to the conservation and sustainable management of land and water, biodiversity, food security and the transition to a bio-based and circular economy.
