Passion for food and the food industry

BachelorFull-timeLaboratory SciencesFood Technology

Flavio Meola is studying Food Technology at VHL University of Applied Sciences in Velp. He chose this study programme because he has a passion for food and wants to work in this industry.

Food industry

"In this study programme, we study a large number of subjects such as physics, chemistry, microbiology but also many business-related subjects such as marketing, finance or project management. Of course, all the subjects that we are studying are applied to the food industry. The food industry is one of the largest industries in the world, and the international environment at VHL allows us, in the future, to work everywhere in the world."

Internship

"What I really love about this study programme is that we apply all the theory we study to practical projects where we can work as we will do in the real industry and be mentored by our teachers. In the second year, I did my internship as a product developer at Euroma, one of the most important companies for spices and herbs in Europe, and at this moment we are working on a project as junior product developers with Kraft Heinz, one of the largest food companies in the world."
