My name is Sabrina Froese, and I am studying Animal Husbandry (Equine Sports & Business) at Van Hall Larenstein. I chose this programme because it perfectly matches my passion for horses and my ambition to work in the industry.
The practical approach and international focus immediately appealed to me. Plus, the programme is taught in English, which creates even more opportunities for a future in the international equine industry.
What I really like about this study is the personal atmosphere. The lecturers know you by name and are always there to help. It makes studying a lot more enjoyable. The internships are also super valuable. You complete two during this programme, allowing you to gain a lot of practical experience and start building connections for the future. That’s something I really appreciate!
I’m still studying, but I can already see that this programme is opening doors. Thanks to the internships and the contacts I’ve made, I’m getting a clearer picture of my opportunities in the equine world. The combination of theory and practice ensures that I’ll be well-prepared for a job in the industry.
If you love horses and want to work in the industry, this programme is definitely worth considering. Van Hall Larenstein has great connections and offers many opportunities to get to know the sector. You’ll gain a lot of knowledge and start building a network that will help you get started in your career straight after graduation.
