Top-rated programmes

VHL University of Applied Sciences has again increased its number of top-rated programmes from last year. This is a positive boost for the university, which is steadfastly working on its mission to educate professionals for a sustainable future.

The ten programmes that have received the ‘top-rated programme’ quality seal are:

In Leeuwarden:

  • Management of the Living Environment
  • Food Technology
  • Associate Degree in Environmental Studies
  • Business Administration and Agribusiness (new)
  • Biotechnology (new)

In Velp:

  • Garden and Landscape Design
  • Food Technology
  • Land and Water Management
  • Management of the Living Environment (new)
  • Associate Degree in Food Technology

These top-rated programmes scored 75 points or more, with Management of the Living Environment in Leeuwarden achieving an impressive 92 points. With several other programmes close to receiving the quality seal, this is an excellent result.

Anneke Luijten-Lub, member of the Executive Board of VHL, is pleased with the increase in top-rated programmes: "I see these quality seals as a well-deserved recognition of the efforts of colleagues who work every day on the quality of our education. A quality seal is not a goal in itself, but the fact that so many programmes receive this recognition is a wonderful boost for both colleagues and our students."
