Looking for accommodation near the VHL campus in Velp? Good news – housing is available! VHL works with an official accommodation partner to offer furnished student rooms to first-year international students and exchange students. The building is close to the campus – it’s a great place to begin your student life in the Netherlands.
Your chances of getting a room are very high: Over the past few years, all international students who were conditionally admitted and applied before the deadline have received a room offer. If nothing unusual happens, we expect the same result for the coming years.
Monthly rent ranges between €550 and €650 depending on m2 and includes gas, electricity, water and wifi. You'll be living with other first-year international VHL students, so you’ll quickly feel part of a community. It’s the perfect way to make friends and start your studies with others who are also new to the country and to VHL.

The deadline to apply for our housing offer for the 2026–2027 academic year has passed, and all rooms have now been assigned. This means you'll need to find accommodation yourself on the private housing market. To help you get started, we've put together some useful tips and resources on this webpage. You can also fill in this form and we'll let you know if a room from our housing offer becomes available. Please note that the chances of this happening are very small.
Looking ahead to the 2027–2028 academic year? The application form for our housing offer will be available from August 2026.
You are, of course, free to find housing elsewhere. Below, we’ll share several routes you can take.
SSH& is specialised in student housing in Arnhem. Once you have a completed profile, you can enter the lottery system for available rooms.
VHL cooperates with Hospi Housing, a platform that brings together hosts and students. A host is a person, couple or family who has a spare room in their house to rent out.
