Students and graduates talk about their experiences with the International Development Management study programme:
An International Development Management student team initiated the social enterprise Tākata, upcycling the plastic waste of Kathmandu into earthquake-proof user-friendly building materials. The business provides opportunities for the construction of safe living spaces as well as providing a solution to the plastic pollution by making waste a key resource. The students won the 3rd price of the VHL University of Applied Sciences (VHL) business fair with this idea!

The app assists in the early hours after a natural disaster or crisis has occurred and can save lives in the most critical time limiting phase.
The International Development Management student team was invited by the Red Cross to elaborate on this idea further and to conduct additional research via internships in the Philippines.
