The Servicepoint is the name of the Student Services information desk at VHL University of Applied Sciences (VHL). It is situated in the middle of the main hall. The Servicepoint was established to help you with questions about enrolment, tuition fees or forms you may need. You can also contact the Servicepoint for questions about your account, help with registering for assessments or to make an appointment with the Dean.
The Servicepoint is open daily between 09:00 and 16:30. In addition to asking questions at the desk, you can also send an e-mail at [email protected] or call the Servicepoint at +31 (0)26 369 58 58 (VELP) or +31 (0)58 284 64 00 (LEEUWARDEN).
The reception desk is located next to the main entrance. Here, you can turn in lost property, report stolen items, ask for in-house first aid services or report an emergency. Reception desk staff will also rent you a locker to store your possessions safely.
You can find the multimedia library near the main entrance of the building. This modern and inspiring room is frequently used as a meeting place, study room, lounge area and conference room.
The catalogue and access to internet, databases and digital magazines are available www.greeni.nl. With your Student Card you can borrow materials from our extensive collection for free.
If you want to borrow an overhead projector, a slide projector, a video camera, flipcharts or other equipment, please report to the Servicepoint, located next to the main entrance. These materials are available for educational purposes only.
The canteen is centrally located in the main building. The canteen provides all kinds of snacks, drinks and a meal is offered each day.
Many things will change when you become a student: you'll move to a student house, make new friends and study independently; in short, you will have to personally arrange your life to an ever greater extent. This will generally work out fine, but sometimes you could use a little help.
For example, when you experience difficulties during your studies (procrastination, study stress), personal problems or when you have questions about studying with a disability (physical impairment or chronic illness). In this case, our deans are happy to help you. They will listen to you and help you on your way if necessary.
In some cases, you can follow a training programme via the student counsellor, for example to learn to study more effectively. Moreover, our student counsellors have a large network and can also refer you to other agencies and care providers.
