VHL University of Applied Sciences (VHL) is happy to work with the employment market: on the one hand, to maintain the level of our education, and on the other hand because we also have suitable study programmes for working people.
We offer various training programmes and courses for people in the employment market: customised solutions for individuals and businesses. Look for more information on the pages of our Training & Development department or contact us via [email protected]. In addition, it is possible to pursue a part-time study programme at the level of higher vocational education (Dutch: hbo) or an associate degree.
If you are looking for a trainee for your business, you can contact the traineeship office accordingly. A trainee will be able to bring the latest in terms of knowledge and developments, but has individual learning purposes as well. For more information, please contact us via the following e-mail addresses for each location:
Velp site: [email protected], Leeuwarden site: [email protected]
VHL participates in partnerships between educational institutions, knowledge centres and businesses. For example, various educational institutions come together at the Dairy Campus in Leeuwarden, including VHL and Wageningen University. It is here that entrepreneurs and researchers are working on innovation and education. We join forces in the field of water in the Centre of Expertise Water technology (CEW) in Leeuwarden.
Our lecturers are motivated to keep the training programmes up to date and to ensure that our students are well-prepared at the start of their career. This is why each training programme at VHL has an employment market advisory committee that includes external individuals from business who critically evaluate the study programmes; will the students from VHL meet the demands businesses impose on starters nowadays? Are you interested in participating in an advisory committee, then do not hesitate to contact us via [email protected]
With their applied practical research, our professors form the link between education and business, the government, institutions and other knowledge partners. On the professorship pages, you will find information on the activities as well as contact details. You can also contact us via [email protected]
